CSC Rec League soccer program is organized to provide a fun environment for ages 4 to 14, to play the game of soccer and improve basic skills. The season will be approximately 5 to 6 weeks. The preschoolers to 7th grade players will participate in practice activities and games. 8th graders will be placed on a waitlist at the time of registration, the number of registrations will determine if there will be a division for the 8th grade players.
Teams are chosen based on the player’s grade and school, as indicated in the registration form, not by the fee group selected. Volunteer coaches play a key role in creating a fun environment where players can enjoy learning the game of soccer. There’s no skill level requirement, and single-gender teams will be formed when there are enough players to support separate girls’ and boys’ divisions.
*If a school grade division reaches capacity prior to the registration deadline, players will be wait listed. Players will not be moved up or down from their grade division. CSC will make every effort to recruit additional volunteer coaches to add additional teams to league.
Players will need to have:
- Each Player will receive a team jersey Kinders to 7th grade. (8th grade TBD)
- Shin guards – with long sock covering the shin guards.
- Athletic Wear-Clothing to play soccer in shorts, sweats..
- Lil’Kicker T-shirt for the preschoolers-provide at the first practice.
- Athletic shoes or soccer cleats. No baseball or football cleats. Soccer cleats do not have a toe cleat.
The CSC Recreational soccer program is the starting foundation of our club, encouraging players and their families to enjoy the game. Younger players get to discover soccer through fun, small-sided games.
The program is volunteer based and relies on the generosity of the volunteer parent coach to dedicate a couple hours a week to the young players.
Parent volunteer coaches are required for each team and are supported by the Casper Soccer Club’s Director of Coaching.
The parent coach is a vital part of the program. You would be under the guidance of our trained coaching staff.
Each team will need a volunteer parent coach to guide them through the season. The shortage of volunteers will limit the number of young players being able to participate in the game. A rebate is available to volunteer coaches, assistant coaches and game facilitators, who must complete the volunteer registration risk management requirements.
