Youth soccer clubs across the country will transition to a new age-group formation model for the 2026/27 soccer year. This change impacts all organizations participating in U.S. Soccer; US Youth Soccer (USYS) Wyoming Soccer Association (WSA).  Casper Soccer Club will adopt the US Soccer Federation’s recommended age group change beginning with player evaluations for the 2026/2027 soccer year (August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027). This approach groups players in a way that mirrors or aligns closer to the school-year timelines and peer groupings. 

• Roster Formation Cycle: August 1 to July 31.
• New Age Group Alignment: Based on school year rather than calendar year.
• This change will be reflected in all player evaluations and team formations for the 2026/2027 season.

• PLAYER AGE GROUP/ROSTER FORMATION TOOL – US Soccer has created a tool to determine a player’s age group based on their date of Birth. It is a guideline too determine your player’s age group for the upcoming season of 2026/27.
